Hose Clamps
A hose clamp, also called a hose clip is a device which is used to seal or attach a hose into a fitting. The fluid in these hoses in under a lot of pressure, the hose clamps are used secure the hose ends with inlets and clamps. They are two types of hose clamps, the screw type and the spring type. The branded screw type hose clamp is mostly seen in automotive settings and is used in other areas as well.
It Is made of a grooved band of metal and also with a screw and a catch. The end of the band goes into the catch and the screw is turned to make the band tight and in turn it seals the hose. The spring type of hose clamps is made of a stronger and yet flexible metal. It has two tabs built; one of each is present on each end of the circle.
They can be installed and even removed on the end of the hose by opening the clamps towards each other or further from each other respectively. When the pressure on the clamps is releases, the closes and is tight without any need of any type of catch.
